Lenses
As with most photographers, I have love affair with lenses. Sure, the newest lenses have amazing technical performance and are great for “technically” clean, clear, sharp and accurate photography. However,… these modern lenses often lack the character lenses of years gone by. Often I find the modern lenses to be sterile and somewhat boring. That’s where my true love of my vintage and hand made lenses come in. I particularly enjoy portrait sessions with these old and forgotten gems.
My favorite lenses have been made for me by a true master artisan Lajos Sajtos in Hódmezővásárhely, Hungary.
This is a short video of one of the lenses I have had hand made by my friend Lajos Sajtos.
Please let me know if you would like me to use any of these lenses in your photoshoot. Using these lenses requires a little extra patience and work for you (they are slow manual focus lenses) and for the photographer. However, the extra time and patience will give you results no other photographer can provide.
