About Me

My Photography Journey

I first dipped my toes into photography in the late 1970s. It was my best friend and his dad that introduced me into the dark room and taught me to develop negatives and film, back in the days of analog photography before the age of the digital camera. I used my dad’s Pentax Spotmatic camera, and in 19811 I was fortunate to start using a Pentax ME Super camera that I still have and occasionally use today.

I played with cameras off and on through high school and college, and finally took the leap into early digital photography in 1998. In 2003 I started experimenting with more advanced, at the time, Canon digital cameras.

When Sony released the A6000 mirrorless camera, I made the switch to the Sony mirrorless camera system and never looked back. I am currently using a variety of top of the line Sony cameras and lenses along with my custom made and vintage lenses.

In 2017 I decided it was time to really dive into my love of photography, and began professional training from other well established photographers to hone my skills in preparation to take the leap into “Professional Photography.”

2023 was the year I “officially” went “professional” in setting up my own photography business, formalizing my decades of passion for photography into a profession.

My Mission

My mission is to bring joy to others with the photographs I create. My creations are a combination of the photos I take while out on my own and offer for sale, and the photos I take for people who want to tell their story with photographs.

My Style

Portraiture - I have an absolute passion for telling stories through my photography. I love to hear stories and then illustrate them with photography. I’m even more overjoyed if I can use my vintage and custom made lenses to create works of art.

Still Life - I enjoy taking still life photography of landscapes, historical artifacts such as World War II aircraft, ships and boats of all eras and sizes, astrophotography and particularly city scapes in the evening, night and dawn hours.
